CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee expresses deep grief at the passing away of Comrade Nepaldeb Bhattacharya, Ex-MP and former All India General Secretary of Students Federation of India on 13th May 2025 in a Kolkatta hospital. He was 72. He was the President of All India Road Transport Workers Federation and All India Working Committee Member of CITU. He was in the forefront to organise workers, students and youth throughout his life and remained deeply rooted in his ideals in articulating the struggles and aspirations of the working class. As General Secretary of SFI he played a major role in the expansion of SFI throughout the country. He visited Andaman & Nicobar Islands several times and participated in various programmes organised by the CPI (M) throughout the islands.
