Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 28: The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC A&N Islands), in association with G.B. Pant Hospital, MY Bharat and Tele-MANAS, organised a Mental Health Awareness Programme-cum-General Health Check-up at CRC, Brookshabad, with the objective of promoting holistic physical and mental well-being among Divyangjan and their family members and caregivers.
Smt. Sumithamol S., Director, CRC A&N Islands highlighted the importance of integrated physical and mental healthcare and expressed appreciation to the collaborating departments and professionals for their support in making such community-oriented initiatives meaningful and accessible.
Dr. Prabir Kumar Palit, Chief Medical Officer, Garacharma District Hospital, conducted a free general health check-up for Divyangjan and their parents/caregivers. Representing Tele-MANAS, DHS, Ms. Shyamali Singh, Psychologist, and Ms. Madhavi Nambiar, Counsellor, interacted with the participants and sensitised them on psychological aspects, emotional well-being, stress management and the importance of seeking timely professional support.
