CRC Announces Series of Special Medical Camps Across the UT to Ensure Timely Delivery of Services to PwDs

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 13: In a major initiative aimed at ensuring timely delivery of services to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), the Directorate of Social Welfare in collaboration with Directorate of Health and Composite Regional Center has announced a series of special medical camps across the UT. These camps are being organized to expedite the issuance of Unique Disability ID (UDID) Cards and Disability Certificates.

To address the issue pertaining to UDID for the Person’s with Disabilities, the Administration is setting up dedicated medical camps where comprehensive health assessments will be conducted for Divyangjans. These evaluations are a prerequisite for the issuance of UDID Cards/Disability Certificate, which facilitate access to various benefits and entitlements under Government schemes.

The general public have been informed that eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) have been encouraged to attend these camps at the specified locations and dates to undergo free medical evaluation and avail the benefits of on-the-spot UDID Card and Disability Certificate issuance.
