
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 6: On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th of May, Mrs. Farida Bibi, representative of CRY (Child Rights & You) and team organized a Tree Plantation Program at the Child Care Institution, Sevaniketan, Dairy Farm, with an aim to promote environmental awareness and a greener future. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children and staff of Sevaniketan.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Meghna Pal Gobind, the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) who appreciated the initiative and encouraged children to actively take part in environmental conservation activities. The DCPO also highlighted the importance of planting trees as a step towards a healthier and more sustainable environment.
Several saplings were planted during the program, symbolizing growth, hope, and commitment to a better tomorrow. The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to nurture and protect the environment.
On 6th of May, Mrs Farida Bibi and team organized a Tree Plantation and Drawing Competition program at Government Senior Secondary School, School Line.
The event aimed to raise awareness among students about environmental conservation and the urgent need to protect our planet. Students enthusiastically participated in the drawing competition, showcasing their creativity and thoughts on environmental protection through art.
A tree plantation drive was also conducted within the school premises, where students and staff planted saplings to contribute to a greener and cleaner environment. The initiative served as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards nature.
The program concluded with a message encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices and become young ambassadors for the environment.
