Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 5: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS officially launched the e-District Digital Certificates integrated with DigiLocker in a ceremony held in the Conference Hall, Secretariat today.
The launch event was attended by Dr. Sachin Shinde, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (IT), Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Additional District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate, along with other senior officials of the A&N Administration.
This initiative, led by the District Administration, South Andaman, is a step forward in strengthening the Digital India programme. DigiLocker provides citizens with a secure and paperless solution to access and share official documents anytime, anywhere eliminating the need to carry physical copies for official purposes.
A total of 21 types of certificates have been integrated with DigiLocker, including: Local, Income, Dependency, Family Member, Resident, OBC, EWS, Marriage Registration, Senior Citizen, ST Certificate, Firm Registration, Origin, Tribal Pass, Boat Registration, Society Registration, Mortgage Permission, Money Lending and Earth Cutting.
The District Administration, South Andaman remains committed to deliver fast, convenient and paperless services to citizens and encourages everyone to adopt digital modes for availing Government services.
