Sri Vijaya Puram, July 28: As part of the Van Mahotsav 2025 celebrations, the Department of Science and Technology conducted a Fruit Plant Sapling Programme at its office campus today. The event was graced by the Director of Science and Technology, who participated as the chief guest and planted a fruit sapling to mark the occasion. The Director also delivered a brief lecture on the significance of Van Mahotsav, highlighting its historical roots, objectives, and the vital role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. All staff of the Department enthusiastically participated in the programme, contributing to the green initiative and reinforcing their commitment to a healthier and greener environment.
