
Ferrargunj, July 11: As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure and ensure the effective implementation of developmental initiatives, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, conducted a comprehensive field visit to Ferrargunj Tehsil today.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner chaired the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) Meeting for the Academic Session 2025–26 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Chouldari. The meeting focused on academic planning, infrastructure development and overall student welfare measures for the upcoming session.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a detailed inspection of the proposed site for the ANIIDCO Petrol Outlet at Tushnabad village. This upcoming project is expected to significantly enhance fuel accessibility for the local population and nearby areas, serving both residential and commercial needs while boosting regional connectivity and economic activity.
Emphasizing the significance of the proposed petrol outlet, the Deputy Commissioner directed the ANIIDCO team to expedite all necessary surveys, technical assessments, and documentation, ensuring that preliminary formalities are completed within the stipulated timeline.
