Directorate of Industries to Conduct One-Year Conventional Training Program, Applications Invited

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 19: Applications were invited for admission to One-Year Conventional Training Programmes under the Directorate of Industries, A&N Islands, for the academic year 2026–27. In order to ensure optimal youth participation and extend the benefits of vocational training to all aspiring candidates, the Department has extended the last date for submission of application forms to 15th July, 2026. Applications are invited for enrollment in the following designated training centres and respective trades:

Sri Vijaya Puram Centre: Tailoring & Garment Making, Cane & Bamboo Handicrafts, Carpentry, and General Engineering.

Diglipur Centre: Tailoring & Garment Making, General Engineering, and Carpentry.

Hut Bay (Little Andaman) Centre: General Engineering and Carpentry.

Car Nicobar Centre: Tailoring & Garment Making, Carpentry, Coir & Coir Products, and General Engineering.

Eligibility: Class X Pass, age between 15–45 years (as on 1st July, 2026), Local Certificate holder of A&N Islands, and physically fit (Govt. Doctor certified). Monthly stipend Rs.1000/- (with 80% attendance) shall be provided to the eligible trainees on completion.

Aspiring candidates possessing the requisite basic qualifications have been advised to collect the formal application forms from Directorate of Industries and Extension Offices of the Department at Diglipur, Hutbay, & Car Nicobar. Duly filled-in application forms along with necessary self-attested supporting documents (such as educational qualification certificates, local certificates, age proof, and category certificates) must be submitted directly to the respective outstation in-charges or section in-charges on or before the extended deadline.
