Sri Vijaya Puram, May 8: The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), A&N Administration, invites applications from eligible tourism stakeholders, watersports operators and boat operators for registration/ permission to conduct parasailing activities at Shaheed Dweep.
As part of promoting leisure and recreational water sports activities under the niche tourism segment across various tourist destinations, the Directorate of IP&T has undertaken a comprehensive “Risk Assessment and Safety Audit” through the National Institute of Water Sports (NIWS), Goa, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in accordance with the A&N Islands Watersports Guidelines, 2015.
The following offshore sectors at Shaheed Dweep have been identified for parasailing activities:
Laxmanpur Beach No. 1 (Offshore Sector)
Laxmanpur Beach No. 2 (Offshore Sector)
Ramnagar Beach (Offshore Sector)
Interested applicants have been required to submit their applications in the prescribed format along with all necessary documents, fulfilling the eligibility criteria and safety requirements as stipulated under the A&N Islands Watersports Guidelines, 2015.
