Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs to Organise Anti-Doping Awareness

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 12: The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, A&N Administration, will organize Anti-Doping awareness programme at Multi-purpose Hall, Netaji Sports Complex, Sri Vijaya Puram, in coordination with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), India on 15th June, 2026 at 03:00 PM. The programme is being organized as part of the Nationwide Initiative of NADA India to promote clean sport, fair play, and a dope-free sporting environment. Athletes, coaches, Physical Education Teachers (PETs), Physical Training Instructors (PTIs), Sports Officials, and Athlete Support Personnel are expected to participate in the programme.

During the programme, educational audio-visual materials and awareness videos provided by NADA India will be screened and awareness will be created on anti-doping regulations, anti-doping rule violations, rights and responsibilities of athletes, therapeutic use exemptions (TUE), and the health consequences associated with the use of prohibited substances.

The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs has appealed to all summer coaching camp trainees to actively take part in the programme and gain awareness about anti-doping regulations, ethical sporting practices, and the importance of competing clean. The Directorate also encourage coaches, sports associations, educational institutions, and support personnel to participate in the programme and contribute towards strengthening the culture of clean and fair sports in the Islands.
