District Administration Carries Out Mass Eviction Drive at Teylorabad Village

Teylorabad, Aug 18: Pursuing its zero-tolerance policy towards land encroachments, the District Administration, South Andaman conducted a major eviction drive at Teylorabad village targeting unauthorized encroachments on Government Revenue land along the road side area.

The operation was spearheaded by the Revenue Department with active coordination and support from the Police Department and the Andaman Public Works Department (APWD).

During the drive, encroachments recently made near Joda kalan area in the form of ghumtis were removed. In total, 08 unauthorized structures erected alongside the main road were cleared. Additionally, a few roadside structures that were found partly encroaching on road area and partly on private land were directed to remove the offending portions.

The District Administration reiterates its firm commitment to act against illegal encroachments and appeals to the general public to refrain from occupying government land without proper authorization.

The District Administration, South Andaman reiterates that such operations will continue unabated in all areas where illegal occupation is identified. Citizens are urged to refrain from occupying public land illegally and are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining the integrity of public assets.
