Sri Vijaya Puram, July 25: The District Administration, South Andaman conducted a meeting of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Committee today on 25th July 2025 in the Conference Hall of DC Office.
The meeting focused on strengthening the implementation of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan across the District. Key decisions were taken during the meeting Formation of Youth Clubs in schools and colleges, Establishment of Hostel Committees in various hostels within South Andaman and Conducting a survey on substance abuse to assess the extent and impact of the issue in society.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman urged the public to make full use of the support and facilities provided by the Government of India under the Abhiyaan to combat substance abuse and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The meeting was attended by the Medical Superintendent, GB Pant Hospital, Deputy Education Officer, Nodal Officer (Prohibition), Medical Officer, IRCA, South Andaman and other committee members.
