District Administration South Andaman Takes Swift Action Against Illegal Activities at Teylorabad Village

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 20: Acting promptly on credible information regarding illegal extraction of earth at Teylorabad village, the District Administration, South Andaman, carried out an immediate enforcement drive today.

A Revenue Team swiftly proceeded to the site and detected unauthorized drilling activities being carried out by a Hitachi breaker machine on private land. The machine was found engaged in stone drilling operations without due authorization or requisite clearances.

Recognizing the severity of the violation, the Revenue authorities immediately halted the operation and seized the Hitachi excavator on the spot. Further, necessary penalties, as prescribed under the relevant legal provisions and revenue laws, have been imposed against the violators.

The District Administration reiterates its commitment to safeguarding land and environmental resources and shall continue to maintain strict vigil over any unauthorized activities, especially those related to illegal mining, extraction or encroachment.

All individuals, machinery owners, and contractors are once again cautioned to refrain from carrying out any extraction or earth-moving activity without prior permission and due process. Strict legal action shall be initiated against those found violating the rules.
