Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 12: On the occasion of Independence Day Celebration on 15th August, 2025 (Friday), to facilitate the commuters of Bambooflat and adjoining areas, the Directorate of Shipping Services will operate additional passenger ferry services between Chatham and Bambooflat from 0600 hrs to 1800 hrs on the day. In addition, an extra vehicle ferry service will be operated as follows:
•0500 hrs – Bambooflat to Phoenix Bay
•2030 hrs – Phoenix Bay to Bambooflat
Commuters of the above areas have been requested to avail these special services.
