Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 28: The Election Commissioner for UTs, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under Article 243-K and 243-ZA, read with Section 185 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Panchayats) Regulation, 1994 and Section 32 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Municipal) Regulation, 1994, has decided that the last electoral rolls of Panchayats and Municipal Council revised/updated in August, 2025, may be taken as mother-rolls for updation/revision of rolls for the forthcoming general elections to the Panchayats and Municipal Council, as per the following schedule:
1) Preparation of draft electoral rolls: 28.10.2026 (Wed) to 30.10.2026 (Fri)
2) Printing of draft rolls: 31.10.2026 (Sat) to 02.11.2026 (Mon)
3) Publication of rolls in draft: 3.11.2026 (Tues)
4) Period for lodging suggestions and objections: 3.11.2026 (Tues) to 17.11.2026 (Tues)
5) Disposal of suggestions and objections: By 19.11.2026 (Thu)
6) Preparation and printing of electoral rolls: 20.11.2026 (Fri) to 23.11.2026 (Mon)
7) Final publication of electoral rolls: 24.11.2026 (Tues)
