Enumeration Phase of the Ongoing SIR of Electoral to Continue on Dec. 11

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 10: The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri L. Kumar, IAS has informed to electors of Andaman & Nicobar Islands that the Enumeration Phase of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral roll will conclude on 11th December, 2025.

With just one day remaining for the completion of the enumeration phase, a total 66,028 electors have been listed under the ‘uncollectable’ category. These include electors marked as ‘death’, ‘Untraceable/Absent’, ‘Permanently shifted’, ‘Already enrolled’ & ‘others’.

Of the total 66,028 electors in this category, 9172 are listed as ‘dead’, 30,172 as ‘untraceable or absent’, while 23,137 are reported to have permanently shifted. There are also 2,842 electors whose names are duplicate/already enrolled on the list and 705 electors in ‘Others’ category. These electors collectively account for 21.27% of the total Enumeration Forms distributed.

At the polling station level, the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting meetings with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and sharing the list of uncollectable enumeration forms to Booth Level Agents of respective polling station for verification.

In polling Stations where no Booth Level Agents (BLAs) has been appointed by the recognized Political Parties, the uncollectable list is being displayed at the polling station for public verification. Details of BLO-BLA meetings alongwith photograph and uncollectable list will be uploaded on the CEO’s website as well as the respective District Administration websites.

Similarly, the Electoral Registration Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers have conducted meeting with representatives of recognized Political Parties and shared the list of uncollectable forms for verification.

The CEO has appealed to all Political Parties and electors to verify the uncollectable list. If any elector listed under the uncollectable category is available or traceable, they are requested to immediately contact concerned Booth Level Officers or visit offices of the AEROs, ERO, DEO or call Helpline No.1950 on or before 11th December, 2025 to ensure inclusion of their name in the Draft Electoral Roll to be published on 16th December, 2025. Any person whose name is not appearing in draft roll to be published on 16th December, 2025 may apply through Form-6 alongwith mandatory declaration form during claims and objections period from 16th December, 2025 to 15th January, 2026.

The CEO has thanked the electors of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Political Parties and Booth Level Agents for their cooperation and support during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
