Mayabunder, Oct. 12: As part of the observance of World Sight Day, the Mayabunder Educational Zone organized an Eye Screening Camp at GMS Mayabunder to promote awareness on eye health and the importance of regular vision check-ups among school students. Students from GMS Mayabunder, GPS Pudumadurai, and GSSS Karmatang-10 actively participated in the camp. A total of 196 students underwent eye screening conducted by a qualified Optometrist, with the support of teachers and parents.
During the screening, 6 students were identified with vision-related issues, who were further advised for detailed medical consultation and follow-up care. The initiative aimed to ensure early detection of eye problems and to encourage healthy vision habits among children.
