
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 12: A five-day training programme on Forest Fire Management concluded yesterday at Forest Training Institute, Wimberlygunj marking the end of an enriching and impactful series of sessions focused on strengthening the skills and knowledge of participants in preventing and managing forest fires.
The valedictory function was graced by the chief guest, Dr. A. Anil Kumar, Chief Conservator of Forest (Territorial), Dr. S. Dinesh Kannan, Chief Conservator of Forest(R&WP)–cum- Chairperson, Forest Training Institute, Wimberlygunj, and others.
In his address, the chief guest commended the participants and the institute for their commitment towards safeguarding forest ecosystems. He emphasized the importance of capacity building and community involvement in effective forest fire management. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants were felicitated for successfully completing the training.
