
Sri Vijaya Puram, March 30: A delegation of the Forest Labour Union (FLU), led by Shri. T.S.G. Bhasker, President FLU, along with Shri. P. Kannan, General Secretary FLU, Shri. S. Bala Krishna, Vice-President FLU, Shri. Siddappa Reddy (Kumar), Secretary of Works Committee, Mill Division, Chatham, and Shri. T. Mohan Rao, Secretary FLU called on the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) at Van Sadan to discuss various issues concerning workers of the Mill Division Chatham.
During the meeting, the delegation raised key concerns affecting the workforce, including the cutting of leave of workers during the lockdown period, the urgent need for procurement of a new 72-headrig machine, installation of a 60-inch band saw machine, sought clarification on the filling up of promotional posts, and maintenance of forest labour barrack
The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests responded positively to the issues highlighted by the delegation and, in a prompt move, directed the concerned officials on the spot to take necessary action for redressal of the grievances.
The delegation expressed their sincere gratitude to the PCCF for the swift and proactive response towards addressing the issues of the workers in the Mill Division.
