
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 7: The Forest Labour Union registered a significant victory in the 28th Works Committee election held at Chatham Saw Mill defeating BMC, marking a major milestone for workers representation.
The success was achieved under the dynamic leadership of Shri T. S. G. Bhasker, President of the Forest Labour Union, National Vice President of INTUC Federation, and Chairman of the Campaign Committee-ANTCC along with Shri K. P. Usman, State President of INTUC Federation and Shri. Kannan, General Secretary Forest Labour Union.
Following the declaration of results, Shri T. S. G. Bhasker felicitated all candidates of FLU by draping them with shawls, appreciating their dedication and commitment to the welfare of forest labourers.
Shri T.S.G Bhasker assured that all issues concerning forest labourers would be collectively addressed and resolved with unity, ensuring fairness and without any partiality.
The victorious candidates were warmly congratulated by several prominent leaders including Shri Rangalal Halder, President of ANTCC, Smt. Zubaida Begum, State President of Mahila Congress, Shri Mohd Rafiq, General Secretary of INTUC, Shri Mohd Zubair, President of City Congress, Shri. Tamilselvan, Spokesperson ANTCC, Shri. R.K Raj, Chairman OBC Department, Shri. Ibrahim Kolakkatil (Baba), President DSS Dockyard Employees Union, and Shri. Xavier, City Congress Vice President.
