From the Islands to the Mountains, Biker Vigin Francis Travels from Andamans to Umling La Pass

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 27: Uming La Pass is a dream destination of every adventure motorcycle rider. The Pass is the highest paved road and mountain pass in the world, located in Ladakh, India. It is situated at an elevation of 19,300 feet (5,799 meters) above sea level.

Vigin Francis, a determined biker from Andaman & Nicobar Islands like any other biker has had this distant dream to ride the nation on his bike upto the highest paved road and mountain pass, the Uming La Pass. What makes him different from the other bikers is that Vigin had started this road journey with an AN Registration Bike. The plan was not all of a sudden, as Vigin had been preparing to achieve this dream for years together, with few failed attempts, until he was finally able to achieve his dream.

Originally from Kerala, Vigin Francis has been settled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands for quite some time now. He is a professional interior designer and also an expert in ornamental fishes. He has conducted many training programmes for the budding entrepreneurs of the Islands in the field of ornamental fishes through Fisheries Department, apart from conducting workshops on Aquascaping and the art of creating Terrariums.

During his dream journey, Vigin visited states and UTs Viz. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Utter Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and a few more, thus covering a distance of approximately 12500 km on a motorbike in 36 days.
