FTC to Organize Training Programme on ‘Freshwater Fish Breeding a Seed Production’

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 8: The Fisheries Training Centre, Marine Hill, Department of Fisheries, with the Financial Assistance from National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) proposes to organize a three-day training programme on ‘Freshwater Fish Breeding and Seed Production’ under PMMSY during the last week of August, 2025.

The training programme includes Broodstock Management (selection, maintenance of fish), Hatchery Management, seed rearing, water quality management, health management etc. A total of 25 Nos. of participants will be selected for undergoing training and the Department will provide guidance for the trained individuals for undertaking Commercial activities through PMMSY scheme.

Applications have been invited in prescribed format from the interested Fishers, Fish farmers/ SHGs/ Entrepreneur/ Tribal and Unemployed youths to undergo the training programme at Fisheries Training Centre, Marine Hill. The selected trainee will be provided Daily Allowance and Travelling Allowance as per the cost norms of NFDB Hyderabad in addition to lunch and refreshments.

Interested applicants may contact the nearest Zonal Fisheries Office/Fisheries Sub-Stations/Fisheries Training Centre for the format of application and the filled in application in the prescribed format should be submitted on or before Aug. 18, 2025.
