GREETINGS

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, I extend my warm greetings to the teaching fraternity of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. I also pay my respectful tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India, Bharat Ratna awardee and a distinguished teacher, on his birth anniversary.

This era will be remembered as a time when nations that place education, research and innovation at the core of progress emerge as true leaders of the world. In this forward-looking journey, our teachers play a pivotal role in advancing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Naya Bharat’, as articulated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister.

On this day, we honour the selfless service, steadfast dedication and noble commitment of our teachers in shaping young minds, nurturing curiosity, awakening passion and instilling values essential for lifelong learning. It is heartening to note that our teachers are making sincere and wholehearted efforts to develop competencies among students, empowering them to become confident, responsible and compassionate citizens of our great nation.

Their contribution is vital in equipping our youth with the skills, values and resilience required to realize the aspirations of the ‘National Education Policy’ and the ‘National Curriculum Framework’.

On this occasion, I convey my deep appreciation to all teachers for their noble service and extend my best wishes for their continued success in this sacred mission of nation building.
