Port Blair, June 9: The admit card will be issued to eligible candidates for the post of Laboratory Assistant and LGC (Library Restorer) in JNRM from 12/06/2023 onwards.  Candidates have been requested to bring one passport size photograph to collect their admit card. The admit card will be issued from 9 am to 4.30 pm at JNRM Recruitment Cell.

Port Blair, June 9: Firing practice by ICG Dornier will be carried out on June 13, 16, 20 and 27, 2023 from 1315 hrs to 1515 hrs. The safe flying height is 6000 feet AMSL and above. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their vessels/fishing boat away from the firing range during the above mentioned date and time.

Port Blair, June 8: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti, A&N Islands has requested the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to consider age relaxation upto 48 years for Islanders who wish to apply for the various posts announced by the A&N Administration.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Shri Rakeshwar Lall, State President, HRS said that recently the UT Administration published the various vacancy, where we got information from the unemployed youths that many vacancy are published for the first time in UT Administration and after a gap of more than 10 to 15 years.

Port Blair, June 8: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to take up the matter of making MSc Nursing seats available for the students of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in Mainland Colleges like other courses, with the concerned Ministry.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Member of Parliament mentioned that the Andaman & Nicobar Administration has been commendably allocating a large number of seats in various colleges across mainland India to accommodate students from our Islands. This initiative has been a source of great relief for local students, as it expands their educational opportunities beyond the limited avenues available in these Islands.

Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee along with other party leaders and office bearers of Andaman Shopkeepers Association visited Mohanpura Municipal Shopping complex today (8th June, 2023) morning and met the shopkeepers who were affected by the flash flood on 7th June, 2023 following the incessant rain on 6th and 7th June, 2023. The shopkeepers in the Municipal Shopping Complex and Fruit Sellers opposite the STS Bus Terminus informed him that the rain water entered their shops and damaged goods and machineries. Many of them sustained loss of considerable amount.  They complained that one of the reasons for flooding the Mohanpura area was the failure of the PBMC to clean the drainages.
