Port Blair, Dec. 6: As part of the “Prashasan Aapke Dwaar” initiative under the aegis of the District Administration, South Andaman, revenue camp court was conducted by Shri Yash Chaudhary, IAS, Additional District Magistrate. Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Assistant Commissioner (SA), Shri Prem Singh Meena, AC(S) and Shri Lakshay Singhal, IAS (P) and other officials of the Revenue Department and line departments at Community Hall, Sippighat.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: The State President, BJP, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has written a letter to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Secretary (Health), A&N Administration, Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), Deputy Commissioner (North and Middle Andaman) and Deputy Commissioner (Nicobar) requesting them to conduct rapid antigen COVID-19 test free of cost for the Islanders.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: The wrath of COVID-19 has bought the very existence of humanity to a standstill, affecting   almost all the sections of society world over. Among the worst hit are the poor people like street vendors who make a living from their petty fast food kiosks/carts on a daily basis.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: In its effort to ensure safe, hygienic and wholesome food to the islanders the Food Safety Department conducted surprise inspections of milk vendors selling milk in the city. Twenty Three (23) milk vendors were inspected and samples were also collected for analysis. With the help of instruments like Milkosis and Raptor Reveal Q+ the samples were tested to detect the presence of urea, detergents, shampoo, starch, stabilizers, aflatoxins and veterinary drug residues.  All samples were found free from above mentioned health injurious substances.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: The District Administration in coordination with the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has planned to organize a Great Grand Job Mela in the ITF ground. This Mela is being conducted by the District Administration in its bid to normalize the lives of the unemployed youths who have lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Around 900 vacancies in different categories and sectors are being likely to be filled up in the Mela. The timing and further details will be intimated shortly.
