1) BA in Applied Hindi (BAAHD)

2) BA in Applied Urdu (BAAUD)

Port Blair, Feb 24: Under the provisions of Rule 4.3(a) 7(a) to (c) of the Excise Policy & 9 (iii) of the bar guidelines issued by the Administration vide Office Order No.4192 dated 18/11/2008 respectively, the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District orders the following day to be observed as ‘Dry Day’ in connection with the Bye Election against the casual vacancies of Gram Panchayat Ward Member Constituencies Diglipur -3 of Gram Panchayat Diglipur under Diglipur Tehsil and Karmatang -3 of Gram Panchayat Rampur under Mayabunder Tehsil.

Port Blair, Feb 22: The Director General of Police, A&N Islands, Shri Neeraj Thakur, IPS inaugurated 50 newly constructed quarters for IRBn personnel at IRBn HQ, Port Mout today in the presence of senior Officers of A&N Police, APWD and staff of IRBn. To mark the occasion, the chief guest and senior Officers planted saplings of fruit bearing trees around the newly constructed complex.

Port Blair, Feb 22: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to construct a Permanent Bridge at Nishchintapur to Replace the Wooden Structure over Kalighat Nallah.

Highlighting the problems of the residents of Nishchintapur, a cluster of hamlets located in Diglipur, he said that the residents of Nishchintapur have been settled by the Government of India under the Rehabilitation Scheme 1956/57.

Port Blair, Feb 22: CPI (M) has demanded to provide uninterrupted power supply to Port Blair and rural South Andaman areas for the benefit of thousands of students appearing in the Examinations. In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee brought to the notice of the Administration the increasing disruption in the power supply at Port Blair and rural South Andaman areas during the last few weeks. CPI (M) Secretary informed the Chief Secretary that power supply has been disrupted frequently during the day time and night.
