Port Blair, Oct. 4: The Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands expresses deep grief at the passing away of Shri Shakthi Sinha, former Chief Secretary Andaman & Nicobar Administration. He breathed his last today (4-10-2021) at the age of 64. A 1979 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, Shri Shakthi Sinha was the Chief secretary of A & N Islands from October 2010 to May 2012.

Port Blair, Oct. 3: The State President and committee members of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman & Nicobar Islands have expressed deepest condolence on the demise of Late Shakti Sinha, IAS. He was the Director of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Policy Research and International Studies, MS University, Vadodara. Mr Sinha was the former Director of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) and was part of the Indian Administrative Service from the 1979 batch. He has also served as a Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office in the past.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A & N Islands has condoled the sudden demise of Mr. Shakti Sinha, Former IAS Officer and a close aide of Former Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: Data available shows a total of 4,46,372 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 1,70,246 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 3082 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: This is for the information of the passengers/general public that the Directorate in consultation with the District Administration has scheduled the sailing programme of the vessel MV Kalighat for Diglipur via Mayabunder on 08.10.2021. As per the schedule the vessel will sail for Diglipur via Mayabunder on 08.10.2021 (Fri) at 2100 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on 09.10.2021 (Sat) at 1500 Hrs from Diglipur via Mayabunder.
