Port Blair, April 24: C 20 National Conference under G20 summit programme on “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” was organized by Chinmaya Mission yesterday at Tagore auditorium. The day-long conference was inaugurated by Shri Keshav Chanda IAS, Chief Secretary A&N Administration in auspicious presence of Smt. S Selvi Chairperson PBMC and Swami Mitrananda National Coordinator for the programme.

Port Blair, April 24: An All Party meeting was held on 24th April 2023 at Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair to discuss about the protest scheduled on 28th April, 2023 at Tiranga Park. The meeting was chaired by ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman, Shri. TSG Bhasker in the presence of Minority Department Observer for A&N Islands Dr. Jani Javed. The meeting witnessed active participation of leaders from different political parties.

Port Blair, April 24: In a display of communal harmony and brotherhood, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Andaman Zone organised an Eid Milan program at the MIM auditorium in Wimberly Gunj on the evening of 23rd April 2023. The program commenced at 6:15 PM and witnessed participation from 50 brothers from civil society.

Port Blair, April 24: A team of selected students from various Higher Educational Institutions of A & N Islands left for NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand today to participate in ‘Yuva Sangam’ Phase-II programme under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (EBSB) scheme. The idea of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, a sustained and structured cultural connect among people of different regions was mooted by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi during the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas held on 31st October, 2015, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 

Port Blair, April 24: Shri. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee Member, BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI, wrote a letter to Chief Secretary, A&N Administration regarding the pathetic condition of M. V. Swaraj Dweep with a request for immediate repair of Air Conditions.

In his letter, he highlighted a serious problem being faced by the poor islanders, which requires immediate attention.
