Port Blair, March 15: ICAR_CIARI, Port Blair along with its KVK is organizing Kisan Mela on the theme: Promoting Natural Farming from 16th to 17th March 2023 in its Mela ground at Garacharma Research Complex. Around 300 farmers representing 28 Gram panchayats of South and Middle & North Andaman districts is expected to participate in the two-day event. The basic objective is to provide an opportunity to the visiting farmers and other stakeholders to interact with the team of scientists and share the information to the larger audience on different facets of Natural farming.

Port Blair, March 14: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to get 10 seats reserved for Islands’ students in any of the prominent Sainik Schools, located in Mainland India.

In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament said that many parents of Andaman & Nicobar Islands have expressed a keen interest in sending their children to study in the prestigious Sainik Schools located in Mainland India.
