Port Blair, July 23: Chess Prodigy from A & N Islands, R Kashthuri Bhai who recently won Silver & Bronze Medals for India in the 17th Asian Schools Under-17 Chess Championship 2023, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, arrived at Veer Savarkar International Airport Port Blair on Saturday. She was accorded warm welcome by the Officials of Andaman Nicobar Chess Association, parents, players and well-wishers upon her arrival.

Port Blair, July 23: Today, July 23rd, 2023, a large number of Anganwadi workers and helpers assembled at MP Office, Port Blair to meet the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma to express their heartfelt gratitude for his relentless efforts in advocating for an increase in their remuneration.

Port Blair, July 23: The Andaman Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) organised Arteriovenous (AV) Fistula Creation Camp for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients from July 19 to 21, 2023. A four-member team led by Dr G V Praveen Kumar, Vascular Surgeon empanelled with Ayushman Bharat was invited to create AV Fistula for those patients needing dialysis.

The NSUI State President, Mr. M.A Sajid, South Andaman Mahila Coordinator, Smt. Zubaida Begum, City Congress General Secretary, Shri. Raj Reddy, PBMC Councilor, Shri. Joga Rao, Congress Seva Dal Joint Secretary, Mr. Akshay Kumar and Congress leaders Shri. Ishwar Rao, Shri. Sadab Riaz (Sunny) and Party Members also took part in the discussions of street corner meeting.

Port Blair, July 23: The prestigious 60th National Chess Championship 2023 will be organised by All India Chess Federation, supported by Sports Authority of India, Ministry of & Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of India from 16.08.2023 to 26.08.2023 in Pune, Maharashtra at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.

Each Affiliated State Association is entitled to send four entries for the Championship.
