Port Blair, June 12: Due to squally weather with strong surface wind, wind speed 40 to 50 kmph is very likely to be along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till morning of June 14.

Instant Messaging (IM) Apps have become popular medium of communication among individuals. Fraudsters have targeted the app users and have managed to devise ways and means to take over or hijack their IM accounts to commit cyber offences by impersonating them. Users need to be aware and alert about these frauds with necessary safety measures against the same.

Port Blair, June 10: During an air surveillance sortie on 06 Jan 24, ANC’s air asset, a Coast Guard Dornier aircraft noticed a local fishing boat adrift towards the North eastern direction around 106 NM from Port Blair. The boat was identified as Indian Fishing Boat (IFB) Infan Dhas with seven crew members onboard seeking assistance as the boat’s propulsion was not working.
