Swell waves in the range of 17.0 - 19.0 sec period with 1.6 - 2.1 m height have been forecasted till 2330 hours of Oct.11, 2024. Also discussed modalities of potential ALHW merger with Andaman & Nicobar Administration.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 9: A delegation of ten persons under the leadership of Shri Bishnu Pada Ray met the Hon’ble Lt Governor on 8th Oct. 2024 and presented a memorandum. A threadbare discussion was held on each point raised by MP in the presence of high level officials of the A & N Administration. The LG agreed to resolve all most every demand raised by the MP at the earliest. The meeting between LG and MP was cordial and result oriented, said a release from the MP Office.

Diglipur, Oct. 8: “Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani” was organized today at Cluster Resource Center- Government Model Senior Secondary School Sitanagar. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Executive Engineer, APWD Shri Manu Thomas, while Deputy Education Officer Mrs Sulochana, Zila Parishad Member Shri Niranjan Haldar, and Panchayat Pradhan Shri Biplab Mondal were present as the Guests of Honour. Welcoming the guests, Principal Shri Balbir Singh said that this exhibition is being organized under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan through Samagra Shiksha. He said that under the Abhiyan, children are given financial assistance and a conducive environment to shape their imagination in science and prepare their working models without any hassle.
