Port Blair, Dec. 18: In view of the increased movement of locals and Tourists between Port Blair and Tourist destinations viz Swarajdweep and Shaheed Dweep, the A&N Administration has decided to augment the shipping services to the above sectors with effect from 19th Dec 2020. The newly drawn schedules  are as follows:-

Port Blair, Dec. 18: The Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, India became Member of International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) during the 9th Annual INTERPA Conference which was held in this month. The theme of the Conference held in virtual mode from Ankara, Turkey was ‘Challenges of Police Academies for Near Future’.

Port Blair, Dec. 18: Considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and consequential adverse impact on imparting training for in-service police personnel, the Police Training School, A & N Police has initiated short courses on virtual platform. In this process, one day online short course on “Police Public Relation” has been conducted on 16/12/2020 from 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs.

Port Blair, Dec. 18: Due to administrative reasons the scheduled sailing programme of MV Coral Queen for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 21.12.2020 (Mon) at 1000 Hrs has been postponed by a day. Now the vessel is planned to sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 22.12.2020 (Tue) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 24.12.2020 (Thu) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via same route.

Port Blair, Dec. 17: Andaman & Nicobar Islands UTGST Department conducted investigation against few Hotels and Tour & Travel Agencies in different areas of Port Blair. After Search and Inspection, it was found that though the GST registration of these Hotels and Tour & Travel Agencies have been cancelled due to non-filing of GST returns, however even after cancellation of their GST registrations, these tax payers, without applying for revocation of their GST registration, are continuing to run their business and the Tax Collection at Source is still being collected by various E-Commerce operators, for business done by these taxpayers. In effect, these tax payers are intentionally running their businesses, without GST Registration, in order to evade tax.
