Port Blair, Sept. 8: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands met Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Education), A&N Administration Dr.V.Candavelou, on 07.09.2020 and appraised him about severe financial crises being faced by the 744 different Part time employees of Education Department i.e. Pre-Primary Teachers, Craft Instructors, Attendants and Ayas due to non-issuance of their further engagement orders for the current academic session 2020-2021 which got expired on 16th May, 2020.

Port Blair, Sept. 7: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to consider for exemption/waiving of payment for Coronavirus test (Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for the college students of these Islands who are coming from Inter Islands for appearing final year examinations of Under Graduation and Post-Graduation of different colleges including IGNOU at Port Blair commencing from 14th September, 2020.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma has distributed the Stage Carriage Permit to the Jeep owners of A&N Islands at a simple function held on 07/09/2020 at Community Hall, Tsunami Shelter at Mithakhari in presence of the special guests Shri. Subhir Chander, Adhyaksh Zilla Parishad South Andaman, Shri. Navlender Kumar Singh, Directorate of Transport, A&N Admn. and Shri. Mohammed Safiq, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Mithakhari accompanied by Shri. K.P. Aboobacker, Chairman, United Forum of Rural Awakening (NGO) as special invitees.

Port Blair, Sept. 7: As a part of awareness campaign to contain COVID-19 post unlock-4, an inspection-cum-mask distribution was carried out by the Dy. Commissioner (South Andaman), Shri Suneel Anchipaka along with SDM (SA), AC (U/T), Civic society organisations, ACCI in the densely populated areas of Junglighat Fishermen Colony and the Dairy Farm areas.
