Port Blair, June 13: All the mechanized fishing boat owners are informed that as per Rule 5 (a) i & ii of the A&N Islands Marine Fishing Rules 2004, all the Fishing vessels fitted with inboard engine(s) or outboard motor(s) having engine power 30 HP and above including sport fishing vessels are permitted for fishing only in Zone B (Territorial Waters) surrounding Andaman & Nicobar Islands beyond 06 Nautical miles from the appropriate baseline upto 12 Nautical miles).

Port Blair, June 13: The Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) in co-ordination with Blood Center, G. B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, supported INHS Dhanvantri, Minnie Bay, Port Blair to organize a blood donation camp at INHS Dhanvantri, Minnie Bay, Port Blair today. Altogether 102 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.

The camp was organized under the guidance of Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, A&N AIDS Control Society and Director, State Blood Transfusion Council, A&N Islands. 

Port Blair, June 13: The vessel M.V. Swaraj Dweep is expected to arrive at Port Blair on June 15 at 6 am from Chennai. She has on board 605 passengers, 8 infants and 7 containers of 105 MT cargo. On arrival the vessel will be berthed at Haddo Wharf and passengers will be disembarked immediately.

Port Blair, June 13: The vessel MV Campbell Bay will sail from Port Blair to Chennai via Nancowry & Campbell Bay on June 15 at 9 am. Excess baggage will be loaded from 2 to 4 pm on June 14. The excess baggage/cargo required to be booked in advance at Commercial Wing, DSS. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 7 am on June 15. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Bengaluru, June 10: The Assistant Chief of the Indian Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna, Senior Defense Official and U.S. Defense Attaché Rear Admiral Michael Baker, and Christ University Vice Chancellor Rev. Dr. Jose CC inaugurated the “Partners in Progress” symposium jointly organized by Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University, and Christ University, Bengaluru, with support from the U.S. Consulate General Chennai on Monday, June 10 in Bengaluru. East West Center Vice President Dr. Satu Limaye and the Former Indian Ambassador to the United States Mr. Arun Singh offered U.S. and Indian perspectives at the symposium’s plenary session.
