Port Blair, Nov. 22: As part of observance of World AIDS Day 2022, the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society organized an inter-school painting competition at JNRM today. 67 students from 31 school of Port Blair zones actively participated in the competition. The first prize was bagged by Shreya Lall from VKV Port Blair, while the second prize went to J. Dinesh of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School and third prize was bagged by K. Eekshita from Navy Children School, Minnie Bay.  

Car Nicobar, Nov. 22: A team consisting of doctor and para medical staff (Ayurveda) of Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), a unit of CCRAS under Ministry of AYUSH, Port Blair will be conducting a free Ayurveda Health Camp and Survey at Kinmai and Chuckchucha villages of Car Nicobar from Nov. 23 to Dec. 2.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: Power supply will remain suspended at various areas under Chouldari Sub-Division viz. Tiger Feeder: Manglutan to Wandoor, Dhanikhari to Tirur, Ograbraj, Coffee Bagicha, Chouldari, Namunaghar, Bengali Basti and Temple Myo on Nov. 24 from 8 am to 3 pm due to shifting of 33/11 KV overhead line in connection with construction of two lane minor bridge at Dhanikhari, a press release from Electricity Department said.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: Firing practice will be carried out by Indian Army from Nov. 28 to 30 from 10 am to 4 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their fishing boats away from the firing range during the above mentioned date & time, a notification issued by DM (SA) said.

CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee deeply mourn the sudden demise of Shri Bhuvanendran Pillai, retired Office Superintendent of A & N Administration and resident of Garacharma at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair on 21st November, 2022.  He was 62 years.
