Kishorinagar, Sept. 18: A complaint was received at OP Kishorinagar regarding missing of a lady, D/o Late Bilas Minj, 23 yrs., R/o Srinagar from her local guardian on 13th Sept. 2023 at around 1100 hrs. The missing girl had reportedly left the house informing that she is going to PHC Kishorinagar to get some medicine for her back pain. Surprisingly she did not return home.

Port Blair, Sept. 18: On 16th Sep 23, the Indian Coast Guard conducted Coastal Cleanup drive at 09 beaches across A&N Islands including major cleanup drives at Radhanagar Beach, Swaraj Dweep and Corbyn’s Cove Beach, Port Blair. The PCCF (A&N) Dr. TS Kumar, IFS graced the occasion as chief guest at Corbyn’s Cove Beach and Inspector General Bhisham Sharma, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (A&N) was the chief guest at Radhanagar Beach.

Port Blair, Sept. 18: As a part of the series of programmes by the Government to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, ‘The Art of Living’, Port Blair under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India conducted an introduction session on meditation under the campaign ‘Har Ghar Dhyan’ on 17th Sept. 2023. The hour long session led by Shri Sandeep Prasad was organised at Bageecha (an initiative to bring people closer to nature), Brichgunj Chowk, Prothrapur.

Port Blair, Sept. 18: On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new scheme named ‘PM Vishwakarma Scheme’ on 17th September 2023 at around 11 AM at India International Convention and Expo Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Port Blair, Sept. 18: Braving the heavy rain and wind, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M), Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee along with other leaders visited the flood-affected Old Pahargaon Telugu Basthi area today in the evening of 17th Sept. 2023 and met the affected people. Following the heavy rain, water entered the said residential area and a large number of houses were submerged in the flash flood. Affected people told the CPI (M) leaders that a number of people lost their clothes, food items, books and uniforms of students besides causing damage to furniture and other household items.
