Port Blair, Sept. 25: Taking a step towards helping islanders in the A&N Islands during time of need, Vistara Airlines had approached Mandeep Grewal, President, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi to distribute Ration kits to the needy families. The Airlines has been distributing Ration kits all across the nation during the pandemic.

Port Blair, Sept. 25: Responding to the grievances expressed by the various grades of Heavy Vehicle Drivers of PBMC regarding their non-regularisation of service of adhoc promotion, the Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has taken up the matter with the Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council requesting to consider for regularization of their service from the date they given adhoc promotion during June 2013 against the existing vacant posts.

Port Blair, Sept. 25: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health), A&N Administration to resume functioning of Operation Theatre (OT) at GB Pant Hospital for conducting operations for patients suffering from various ailments since the functioning of operation theatre (OT) has been temporarily stopped (except for emergency and delivery cases).

The delegation appraised the LG about the various initiatives taken by ACCI in association with the Administration in arresting the pandemic Covid -19 and appreciated the entire Administration and the Chief Secretary under the able leadership and guidance of the Lt. Governor, which could bring down Covid – 19 cases close to negative in these Islands and very cautiously opening up of business and social activities to bring the islanders’ in to normal life.
