Port Blair, June 14: To address the growing need for accessible and efficient transport services, Transport Department organized a ‘Road Safety Awareness Camp’ at Manglutan Community Hall yesterday, in co-ordination with PRIs, local citizens, Police, Education, Health Departments and other stakeholders. The aim of the event was to provide on the spot services and to address the issues related to Motor Vehicle Department alongwith creating awareness about road safety among road users.

Port Blair, June 14: On the occasion of “World Blood Donor Day” 2024, A & N AIDS Control Society organized a blood donation camp in co-ordination with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Dollygunj in association with Blood Bank, G. B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair on 14th June, 2024 at Multipurpose Hall, ITI, Dollygunj, Port Blair. A total of 42 units of blood were donated by the students, staffs and voluntary donors.

Mayabunder, June 14: On the basis of field reports from Tehsildar Diglipur and team of Revenue Officials, the Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman has imposed a significant penalty for the illegal extraction and transportation of 1500 CBM of earth from land, situated at Sitanagar village in Diglipur Tehsil. This activity was carried out without the necessary permissions and is a direct violation of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Minor Mineral Rules, 2012.
