Port Blair, Sept. 26: The District Administration of South Andaman District has set up a single window system for Durga Puja Pandal, Procession and mike permissions clearance from 24^th September 2022 and started functioning at District Control Room, Port Blair.

Renowned International Master & a Chess Coach from Chennai V Saravanan will be the trainer & conduct the workshop.

Port Blair, Sept. 26: The Annual General Body Meeting of Andaman Association of Tour Operators was held on 25^th Sept. 2022 at hotel N.K. International. The meeting was attended by more than 70 members of the association and presided over by the President of AATO, Shri.M.Vinod.

The programme started with a 2 min silence to mark respect towards the departed souls of the tourism fraternity.

Port Blair, Sept. 26: As part of the All India Campaign by the CPI (M) on “the Increasing Assaults of the BJP central government on people’s livelihood”, the Middle Andaman Area Committee of the CPI (M) has carried out a Mass Demonstration at Billiground Bazar on 24th September, 2022. The demands raised in the mass demonstration were  (1) withdraw GST on food articles (2) restore subsidy on gas cylinders (3) Abolish Central government cess/surcharge on petroleum products (4) Fill up all the vacant posts in various government departments, etc.   The Area Committee had also carried out extensive postering on these issues in Middle Andaman area.
