Port Blair, June 19: On the occasion of 'International Yoga Day', Sant Nirankari Mission will organize Yoga sessions in open spaces and parks under the guidance of local yoga instructors from 6.00 am in various branches of Sant Nirankari Mission established all over India.

The theme of this year's International Yoga Day has been given by the United Nations as 'Yoga for Women's Empowerment', which is undoubtedly the need of today's time. Sant Nirankari Mission is also trying to enable women empowerment by implementing many welfare schemes from time to time, mainly sewing and embroidery centers, beautician courses, tuition centers etc.

Port Blair, June 19: The A&N Administration is organizing a two days training programme for Mid-Level Officers in Artificial Intelligence by M/s Wadhwani Foundation for Digital Transformation, New Delhi on June 20 & 21, 2024 in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College Auditorium. About 200 participants are expected to participate in the training programme.

Port Blair, June 18: ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Port Blair in association with ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair and Department of Agriculture organized live screening of the programme on PM-KISAN (Kisan Samman Sammelan), a flagship scheme of the GoI. During the programme, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released the 17th instalment of ‘PM-KISAN’ to more than 9.26 crores eligible farmer beneficiaries amounting Rs. 20,000 Crore from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on today (June 18, 2024). A total of Rs. 3.24 Lakh Crore have been released so far under the “PM-Kisan”. Thereafter, Hon’ble Prime Minister addressed the gathering and distributed ‘Krishi Sakhi’ Certificate to successful candidates.
