Port Blair, June 21: The 9th edition of International Day of Yoga (IDY) was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the A&N Islands. This year’s theme was ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which according to ancient Indian scriptures means, the whole world is one.

Port Blair, June 21: The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) celebrated the ‘9th International Yoga Mahotsav-2023’ espousing the theme of ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Katumbkam’, which beautifully captures our shared aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, and One Future”. On 21 Jun 23, all components of Andaman and Nicobar Command (Army, Navy, Air Force & Coast Guard) commemorated International Day of Yoga with great fervour.

Port Blair, June 21: In a tragic incident yesterday evening around 0700 pm two houses at Junglighat Machi Basti, Port Blair accidentally caught with fire and were gutted into ashes. Family of Mr. Jagdish and Mr. Kurma Rao who were residing in the houses on rent were luckily on Pooja to nearby temple which saved them but where left with nothing behind as the fire destroyed everything.

Port Blair, June 21: On 21 Jun 23, Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N) celebrated the 9th International Day of Yoga. The event was conducted in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to share Yoga and Indian philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” with the entire world.

Hon’ble Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of various Govt. Schemes at Shaym Nagar, Swaraj Dweep.
