Port Blair, Sept. 30: The leaders of the various political parties, after holding a meeting at Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali, Port Blair yesterday (29.09.2022) evening, observed with grave concern that force was used by the police on unarmed and peacefully agitating students of DBRAIT at Dairy Farm junction on 28th September, 2022.

Port Blair, Sept. 30: On 16th Sept. 2022 many students of Model Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair studying in Middle and Secondary level had complained of severe pain and acute headache with vomiting tendency after some mass drug (suspected) was administered to them in school. The students were rushed to the GB Pant Hospital for immediate medical check-up and treatment. After a day of observation, all the students were discharged from hospital declaring them perfect and cured from the illness.

Port Blair, Sept. 30: As part of Road Safety measures, the revamped Children’s Traffic Park situated near Marina Park was re-opened on 30/09/2022 by 04 family members, who lost their son/husbands/brother in road accident and suffering the pain of losing their loved ones. Sr. Police officers of A&N Police including Shri. Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS, IGP (L&O) were present during the re-opening.

Port Blair, Sept. 30: The Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration organized a ‘Startup Pitching Session and Open Forum Discussion’ today in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Industries. The event saw an overwhelming response from the students of various colleges of these Islands wherein, the students pitched their ideas and innovations. The young entrepreneurs came up with unique solutions and business models in the open pitching sessions from all sectors that included agriculture, IT, handicrafts etc.

Diglipur, Sept. 30: A mass awareness programme on the Women Rights and Women Empowerment was organized by N&MA District police on 30/09/2022 at Panchayat Community Hall of Kishori Nagar village with the school students of Govt. Senior Secondary School Kishori Nagar & Secondary School Parangara, PRI members, Anganwadi workers and Helpers, Auxiliary Nurse and Mid-wives from PHC, Kishori Nagar, general public and mothers of adolescence girls.
