Port Blair, Sept. 22: As part of the All India Campaign by the CPI (M) on “the Increasing Assaults of the BJP central government on people’s livelihood”, the Port Blair City Area Committee of the CPI (M) began a two-day corner meetings and campaign. The party conducted corner meetings today (22.09.2022) at Haddo, Delanipur, Prem Nagar and Junglighat areas.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: Seventeen positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands today, of which, 2 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 12 flights with 2019 passengers arrived, out of which, 1860 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 129 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: Field Operations Division of National Statistical Office under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Govt. of India will be organizing a Regional Training Camp on Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) from Sept. 26 to 28, 2022 in the office premises. Shri K. Hareeswaran, Joint Director, National Statistical Office, South Zone, Bengaluru will inaugurate the camp on Sept. 26. Shri S. Prakash, Senior Statistical Officer will conduct the camp.

Port Blair, Sept. 21: A&N Administration is committed towards the welfare of the Islanders and it will leave no stone unturned to resolve the issues and aspirations of the people of North & Middle Andaman region. Genuine issues/demands highlighted by the people of the area, will be attended to on priority for its time bound redressal, said the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS during an interaction meeting held with the PRIs and Head of Offices in the Panchayat Hall, Pokadera, Mayabunder today.
