Port Blair, Jan. 11: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 308 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 16 positive cases have been detected. Today, 14 flights with 951 passengers arrived, out of which, 702 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 246 passengers (includes 10 foreign travelers) and the reports are awaited.     

Port Blair, Jan 11: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 5, 99, 400 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 16,249 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years against the target beneficiaries of 23,000. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine today stood at 885.

January 12 is celebrated every year as National Youth Day in honour of Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary. The spiritual thinker had laid great emphasis on the upliftment of the youth throughout his life.
