Port Blair, March 17: The District Administration in its continuous efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic has been actively promoting COVID-19 vaccination. In order to protect the children of the Child Care Institutions, the District Child Protection Unit under District Administration, South Andaman has conducted vaccination drive for Children between the ages from 12 to 14 years in all the Institutions of South Andaman in collaboration with the Mobile Vaccination Team of Health Department.

It is brought to the notice of the electricity consumers of Port Blair and South Andaman area that due to prevailing humid and hot climate there is an increase in power demand resulting in shortage of power. To cope up the situation, a rotational load shedding of approximately 30 minutes has been announced in and around Port Blair & South Andaman area during evening peak hours i.e. from 05.30 PM to 09.30 PM.

Port Blair, March 17: The RIMC Entrance Examination for admission of Boys and Girls to Class VIII for the Jan 2023 term will be held at TGCE, Port Blair on 04 Jun 2022 (Saturday).

Eligibility Criterion: Educational Qualification: The candidate should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC, i.e., on 01 Jan 2023.

It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended in the following area on 19.03.2022 from 0800 Hrs. to 1000 Hrs. in connection with replacement of HT cable at Phoenix Bay Power House.

Port Blair, March 17: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 29 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 4 flights with 390 passengers arrived, out of which, 338 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 41 passengers and the reports are awaited.
