Swaraj Dweep, Aug 20: On the second day of visit to Swaraj Dweep Island by the Pradesh Youth Congress team under the leadership of its President Miss. Diksha Dular and State Vice President Mr. Abhi Bhusan Ghosh met and interacted with the senior congress leaders at various locations.

The youths from the tourism segments specially from the Travels association and general shop vendors of the Shop association Radhanagar came forward and raised the problems faced by them for daily life survival and business. Many revenue based issues were also kept forward in light of their concern.

Swaraj Dweep, Aug 20: To promote, foster sustainable and responsible tourism practices with a commitment towards preserving the environment and supporting local communities, Tourism Department organized a comprehensive awareness and sensitization program for tourism stakeholders, unemployed youth/candidates at Govind Nagar, Gram Panchayat in Swaraj Dweep yesterday. PRI Members from Swaraj Dweep also attended this programme.

Port Blair, Aug 20: As part of the educational endeavours of the Baha'is throughout the world, which aims at providing  children spiritual as well as academic education and nurturing them as useful and productive resources to enable them to contribute towards the building of a strong nation and a progressive society, the teachers of the Baha'i Classes for Children of Ekta Colony, Machilane, Shadipur had organised a program to mark the completion of Grade-I book of six years course (for the age group of 6 to 12) on 18th August 2023 at Kannada Sangha Hall, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Aug 20: Revenue Camp Court was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (SA), Smt Veditha Reddy, IAS at Swaraj Dweep on Aug.18 & 19, 2023. PRI members, large numbers of villagers and representatives from all Departments were present in the Camp Court. The DC (SA) directed to resolve the issues raised by the general public and PRI members related to Revenue Department and other line Departments in a time-bound manner.

Port Blair, Aug 20: Small arms range practice of IRBn personnel will be carried out at PTS, Firing Range, Bird Line, Prothrapur on Aug. 22 & 25, 2023 from 6 am to 3 pm. The general public, especially the villagers & residents of Bird Line and Prothrapur have been asked to keep themselves and their cattle away from the firing range during the above mentioned date and time.
