National Board of Examination to Designate DBRAIT or Other Suitable CBT

Port Blair, Oct. 5: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India to open Examination Centre at Port Blair for conducting NEET –PG examination from the year 2021 onwards. The demand was made since Online/ Computer Based Test facilities are available at Port Blair, which will save the time and other expenses for the aspiring candidates from A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Oct. 6: Anganwadi building at Muslimbasti under GP Mithakhari was inaugurated on 05/10/2020 by Smti. Irene Nicolas, CDPO Ferrargunj in presence of Shri. Mohd. Safiq Pradhan, Smti. Suhara Bibi Panchayat Samiti member, Assistant Engineer CD-III along with JE, PRI members and villagers of Muslimbasti village. Smti. Irene Nicolas, CDPO addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts made by Pradhan for the construction of the building and encourage the villagers to take benefits of the ICDS based schemes on the newly inaugurated Anganwadi building. Pradhan Shri. Mohd. Safiq thanked all the officials especially the Social Welfare dept. for their support on the construction of building. Pradhan also thanked all the PRI members, villagers, Anganwadi worker and helper for their valuable support for making the program success.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) has suggested the A&N Administration to formulate testing/ quarantine rules for the incoming tourists, since Andaman has decided to re-commence tourism after a long gap.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary, the AATO President, M Vinod thanking the Administration for announcing the reopening of Andamans for tourism said that there are a few hiccups that are arising whilst figuring tourist arrival, their stay, transportation, test and quarantine. These are extraordinary times, which necessitate extraordinary measures but at the same time the tourist experience in Andamans must only be seamless. Their journey through Andamans must be streamlined to ensure there are no hassles on the way.
