Port Blair, May 23: CPI (M) has urged the A & N Administration to review the transfer orders of clerical cadre staff issued by the Personnel Department in gross violation of service rules. In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M), A & N State Organising Committee drew the attention of the Chief Secretary to the general transfer order bearing No. 1152 dated 27th April, 2023 issued by the Assistant Secretary(Perl), transferring 139 Higher Grade Clerks of the Amalgamated Clerical Cadre of the Administration from Port Blair to various outstations and vice versa.

Port Blair, May 23: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) State President Mr. M.A Sajid has highlighted the issue of in-sufficient time given to the aspirants applying for the vacancies of Post Graduate Teachers in the Education Department.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Sajid stated that the time duration provided to the aspirants is from May 10th to May 31st, 2023 is not sufficient while as per the guidelines of Employment Exchange, at least 30 days should be given to the aspiring candidates to apply for the posts.

The initiative focuses on seven themes, which include food, energy, transport, water, waste, nature, and purchasing. The Youth Parliament on LiFE will provide a platform for young people to voice their opinions and ideas on various contemporary issues of environment.

Hopetown, May 23: The NGO, WITH YOU organized a successful awareness program focused on women's health and hygiene at Panchayat hall, Hopetown. The program aimed to educate and empower women on the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene.
