Port Blair, March 29: The Oath administering ceremony of all 6 Panchayats coming under Port Blair tehsil under South Andaman district have been completed today. In a special meeting convened today on 29/03/2022 at Neil Kendra Panchayat, Shaheed Dweep, the oath of office was administered by Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, South Andaman to the newly elected Pradhan, members and elected Up-Pradhan in respect of Neil Kendra Panchayat.

Port Blair, Mar. 29: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,10,000 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,329 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18yrs and 8680 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 10142.

Port Blair, March 29: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 250 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 5 flights with 565 passengers arrived, out of which, 509 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 43 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, March 28: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to direct ANIIDCO to provide 24-hour service in the ANIIDCO petrol pump of Goal Ghar.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that since 12.11.2013 following the direction of the Administration, the ANIIDCO petrol pump was kept open for the public for 24-hours with the approval of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
